I noticed that the reviews for this Bond book were poorer than others. I enjoyed it. It is nothing like the film and like Ian Fleming’s other Bond novels, it is not as far-fetched as the films abs better for it.
The narration is good, although I was not keen in Bond’s voice.
This is a must for Bond lovers and is a really good read/listen. Meanwhile, for me: on to the next!

This is the last Fleming novel, published posthumously from an early draft. While it lacks the finesse of his other books, there's still a lot of good stuff here, including an exciting, unexpected opening. It's a direct sequel to 'You Only Live Twice', so I recommend starting there (or earlier!).

The performance by Kobna Holdbrook Smith is good, but not perfect. His voice for Felix Leiter is too similar to that of the villain, Scaramanga, which can be confusing at times, and his Bond voice isn't my favourite. However, it never becomes a distraction, and he gives life to a slightly weak plot. (Real estate crime, not up there with 'world domination')
