This is another good read from an author who presents realistic characters and the historical facts are always well researched by her. I enjoyed it and recommend it looking forward to starting the next book in the series

the story was really entertaining with good characters and interesting plot changes. the narration is wonderful bringing alive all the different characters both male and female. A fabulous listen.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tale of spies and pre WW2 times. It’s a tale of spies, double agents and treachery intermingled with a feeling for the pre war years and the sense of trouble brewing under the surface. I have never known much about the rising tide of fascism and communism within England at that time so found the story to be pleasantly educational too. Credit day is here so I’ve purchased the second book in the series and can’t wait to start it.

But feel it’s a bit of a con that we have to buy 5 episodes separately - the episodes (I’ve listened to two so far) stop somewhat randomly, obviously contrived in encouraging you to buy the next, none are a full story on their own, so be prepared to say goodbye to 5 credits, they’re quite addictive!
