Summary

Dien Bien Phu. Saigon. Hanoi. In 1954, they were only exotic names from a French campaign halfway around the world. But now American fighting men - proven on the bloody beaches of Normandy and in the minefields of Korea - are summoned to help beat back the guerilla forces of Ho Chi Minh. To some, the “secret” war in Indochina was the depth of folly. To others, like the majors, it pointed to the heights of glory.

Another incomplete download!

Audible continues to succeed in failure to deliver!!! Absolute study in gross incompetence!! At this moment, I consider Audible to be nothing but a scam - a fraud.

Love it!

I read this series from the beginning back when I was young and in the Navy. Went on to fly for the airlines but regretted not making the service a career. My early years at the airlines found me with men who were part of our nations military as far back as Korea and I met many men who had fought in WW2 who were retired but still flying privately or working to restore old warbirds. This series, although fictional does correspond to the hours and hours of conversations I had with these men. What a truly remarkable time in history. I definitely recommend these well written and entertaining books. The narrator is excellent and captures the characters personalities exceptionally well.

Great story but too much gratuitous sex & language

Great story but too much gratuitous sex & language. Main characters are nearly all focused on sex

Another Great Story to the Series

W.E.B. Griffin articulates a great continuing story of an individual who moves through the ranks of the military and becomes a Field Grade Officer. W.E.B. Griffin portrays the responsibilities that an individual obtains at a higher level pay grade within the military very well.

I am enjoying this series more than The Corps

One of the best characters Ive encountered is Lowell Craig. His antics make me laugh, cry, and wish the best for him. He is a very complex person and I hive kudos to Mr. Griffin for his creation. even tjough he is blonde, I visually cast Keanu Reeves as Lowell because of the performers portrayal.

Absolutely excellent!

Just as before but maybe even more so, I cannot wait to listen to the next book in this wonderful series! I truly appreciate that the author brings in interesting female characters as well, but these stories have an overall depth of character that can be appreciated by anyone.

Great story but not a fan of narrator

Love the story but it's narrator can't pronounce the terms properly and it is an irritation.
