Lovely Feel Good Story

I received a free credit to download this book, in return for a review.

I very much enjoyed this book as a piece of Christmas escapism. The plot was unexpected in places, and honestly better than I was expecting. A story of what are the turning points in a life, that lead us down a particular path, and what we might do to change things given the opportunity. I thought Linda West handled this concept very well, without making this a heavily emotional book, I'd definitely describe the story as lighthearted, but no less enjoyable for that.

Jennifer Jill Araya did a lovely job of narrating, and I found myself eager to see where the story would go next. Perfect for my mood on a cold, wet afternoon curled up on the sofa with a cat on my lap.

An Inspiring Christmas Story

This was such a sweet, hopeful story set in Kissing Bridge. I enjoyed returning to Kissing Bridge for this story. Three women get a second chance at their life. It was a roller coaster of emotions, in the best way possible. Even the bittersweet bits were enjoyable, in the fact that they were well written. I felt actively engaged in these women’s stories and lives.

Jennifer Jill Araya knocks it out of the part yet again, with her perfectly executed narrations. Her emotions and voices are always spot on.

A Story Not to be Missed

This was my first story by Linda West but I am very happy I took the chance.
This is a very well written story about the choices we make and where those choices may lead us.
So many choices I have made that I would love the chance for a Christmas Do Over.

This was also my first book narrated by Jennifer Jill Araya.
I can say she did an awesome job bringing each person to life. Easy to tell them apart and recognize them when they return at the end.

Not quite what I expected, still pleasant surprise

Okay, I was expecting more of a Hallmark story. Someone who gets the opportunity to make things right. Perhaps with a missed opportunity of a love interest. Not the case at all, but definitely worth the listen.

If you are expecting Hallmark fluff, well....just hang in there. The story starts off kind of rough. The introduction of 3 main cast members, Macy, Sam and Naomi are not warm and fuzzy. In fact, they're kind of sad. Macy is cold and kind of self-serving. Sam is kind of mousy and doesn't seem to have the back-bone to stand up to her boss (Macy). And Naomi, is out to make a quick buck. She's had to work hard for everything in her life. The listener may be tempted to pause the audio, re-read the title and ask herself/himself...whaat?

Hang in there! This is where the story truly begins and the author makes you want to be invested in each of these ladies lives. I won't say anymore because I don't want to spoil anything, but PLEASE finish the story. You won't regret it.

Ms. Araya delivers a very nice performance. She allows for the listener to be transported through the story and the result is a pleasant listening experience. I continue to enjoy her audio performances.

Mature Content: mild language (2 occurrences. Taking of God's name in vain, and another phrase using 'shit'). Honestly, it fits the rough nature of the characters speaking these phrases. 99% of book is fine.

I received the audiobook free from narrator. My review is honest and voluntarily written

A Perfect Representation of Christmas

The author really did a great job writing this beautifully heartwarming and bittersweet story. It had me feeling so many emotions throughout and was a perfect Christmas listen. It is a reminder of all the things that are important and what makes the holiday so special. I enjoyed each of the character's past Christmases and seeing how they had been changed. It is a charming piece of work but also has some sad aspects.

The narrator did an outstanding job bringing out all the emotions in this performance. I already liked her as a narrator before in Death By Crockpot and I feel like she did an even better performance in this book. She did a good job keeping character voices consistent throughout and keeping the listener engaged. I enjoyed this performance and look forward to more from this narrator.

A Christmas miracle worthy of a listen

I'm not normally a Christmas story kind of person but this book really touched my heart. This book is truly about do overs and making good choices. The author and narrator really resonate this throughout the story. You could hear the humor and love in the narrators voice that added another layer to this story. This is the kind of story I like to crawl into the book and loose myself in the authors world. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Blue Ribbon Winner

The Magical Christmas Do Over by Linda West is full of second chances and hope. I so enjoyed this sweet listen with its small town charm and values. The magical season of Christmas is the perfect backdrop for this story. The author wrote great imagery in this story, and lets one explore the possibilities of doing over some choices. Jennifer Jill Araya performs this book flawlessly. She adds the right emotions and has distinguishable voices for the various characters. I found myself pondering the what if's, and realized how important family and friends really are. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will most definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Totally Worth Your Time!!!

I LOVE this book and I will be listening to it again and again! There is so much I could say about this book. This is a wonderful story that will make you cry, laugh, shake your head and having you hanging on every word! The beginning has you wondering, it doesn't sound like the blurb but hang in there. The author has to set up the story then allow the three paths to tell their own tale. This is a well written, heartwarming, clean story full of the beauty and magic of Christmas! The narration...was awesome! Jennifer Jill Araya did a superb job with the voices and inflicting the proper emotion. She really brought the story to life and through her narration you feel as if you are there with these three women. A truly wonderful listening experience that I will be recommending to all my friends! Thank you ladies for a wonderful escape!

Sweet and fun

An Adorable Second Chance Romance Novel That Will Leave You Laughing, Crying and Clapping is exactly what I was doing throughout this story. A combination of It's a Wonderful life and my favorite Hallmark movies, this takes three women back in time to their worst Christmas and gives them the chance to do it over! With the mix of a blue moon and some magical cookies, each gets to visit a pivotal time that could change their lives. Macy gets to find out the reason her mom was not part of her life, Samantha finds her siblings and herself in an abusive home, and Naomi finds her special talent. Each story will bring you tears of sadness and joy as they go through their stories and how just a few little tweaks could change their lives. It is a true lesson to us as we listen to this gem of just how the one decision can make a ll the difference! It is a joy to have heard this story during the holidays!

Through the narration by Jennifer Jill Araya, I was able to live through each character. I could feel each emotion, and there were a lot of different ones in this book. Her voices for all the characters gave each such a different personality and spirit. I loved her ability to incorporate both adult and children into her narration without making it feel forced. A very enjoyable listen, it is one you will not want to pass by.
