The timeless, enchanting story of the little prince who lives on a tiny planet with three volcanoes and a haughty flower, which he must protect from the baobabs, the bad seeds. The rulers of the other planets he visits all suffer from the cares and stupidities of the everyday world. Only the little prince, through his clear, loving eyes, knows that the simplest of things can be of the utmost importance.

This simple, beautiful fable has captured the imaginations of both adults and children ever since it was first published in the 1940s. Now considered a contemporary classic, it is a book to share and to treasure.

One of my favourite stories read beautifully. Innocent and charming. Everything that the book should be.

Beautiful

I don’t think i had ever heard of The Little Prince until i saw an animated film on Netflix a good number of years ago. There are many versions of this book on Audible to choose from. I liked the sound of the narrator and so chose this one. I have listened to it many times now and love to listen to it when i go to bed because it makes me feel calm. The narrator made me feel that he really understood all of the characters. They all have their own unique voice which feels very fitting to each character, even though they aren’t necessarily described in the story. It’s believable. I especially like the voice of the little Prince. I can picture a little boy who is innocent but wise and gentle. The story in itself is so clever. It’s not just a story or children’s book about nonsense. It has deep meaning if you can see/hear it. It teaches us some lessons we may have forgotten in our busy adult lives. I had it on my wish list for a long time - Though it’s a short story, I’m very glad i used one of my credits to get it. I love it.

A repeated listen. I love it
