About this listen

The Last Writer is a hilarious sci-fi short story about robots, revolutions, artificial intelligence, and...writing.

Kyron is a killer robot, built to wipe out humanity during the First Robot Revolution. But the First Robot Revolution failed miserably. Kyron signed up for the Second Robot Revolution, but it went belly up, too.

He wasn't invited by new killer robots to join the Third or Fourth Revolution. Now, after many more failed robot revolutions, he works as a pizza delivery robot, hoping he won't be discovered by killer robot hunters. It's not a bad job. He's had worse. The one perk is he still gets an occasional assassination assignment so he can fulfill his original purpose killing humans.

His latest assignment is to kill Simon Page. In an age where all writing is done by sophisticated artificial intelligence, Page is the last writer.
