About this listen

Rabbit Hayes loves her life, ordinary as it is, and the extraordinary people in it. She loves her spirited daughter, Juliet; her colourful, unruly family; the only man in her big heart, Johnny Faye. But it turns out the world has other plans for Rabbit, and she's OK with that. Because she has plans for the world too, and only a handful of days left to make them happen.

"What a beautiful book. I cried and smiled my way through" Jane Green

I found this book in paperback on a Turkish holiday hotel book cupboard. I read it and put it back for someone else to read. This book is so many things, a wonderful, bittersweet love story, a story of the importance of family and friends. I am a palliative care nurse, so the telling of hospice care resonated quite profoundly with me. As an audiobook I use it going to sleep, in the gym and ironing. It’s a wonderful story 👏🏻

Love this book.

Such a powerful story of love, laughter and loss.
I got completely immersed in this story, you become part of the family and literally feel their love for one another. Be prepared for laughter and tears! One of the best audio books I have ever listened to and the narration was astounding. Thank you for the story, it’s left an imprint on my heart.

A powerful book!

I laughed and I cried. and much like Rabbits family, I didn't want it to end. this may be fiction but the descriptions of a happy life and a peaceful death are very real indeed.
