About this listen

The Last Crown is the epic sequel to The Widow Queen, about a long-forgotten Polish queen. It's a sweeping saga perfect for fans of Philippa Gregory, Bernard Cornwell, and the TV show Vikings. Across Baltic shores, English battlegrounds, and the land of Northern Lights, The Last Crown is the follow up to The Widow Queen, and the epic conclusion of Swietoslawa's journey from Polish princess to Queen of Denmark & Sweden and Queen Mother of England.

The second volume of the Bold is slightly worse than the first one, but it is definitely worth your time. The story is engaging and the characters are full of life. It's a must-read for any history buff, especially Polish native speakers, because as far as I know the figure of this queen is barely mentioned in Polish history classes. What a shame! Cassandra Campbell does a decent job as a narrator, though there is some inconsistency in the pronunciation of the more challenging names :)
