About this listen

Tara, Katherine and Fintan have been best friends since they were teenagers. Now in their early thirties, they've been living it up in London for 10 years. But what have they to show for a decade of hedonism? Sure, Tara's got a boyfriend - but only because she's terrified of spending five minutes alone. Katherine, on the other hand, has a neatness fetish that won't let anyone too close to mess up her life. And Fintan? Well, he has everything. Until he learns that without your health, you've got nothing....

All three are drinking in the last chance saloon and they're about to discover that if you don't change your life, life has a way of changing you....

"Plenty of heart, lots of laughs, and a fantastic twist in the tail." (Cosmopolitan)

Love the storyline and the characters but unfortunately I must agree with others this was appalling try of imitating Irish accent. It really sounded 'oirish'. Really sad as I love MK books and this one would be a definitely come back but I guess I will rather read than listen.

Appalling narration

A long time favourite of mine. I've had the paperback for years and adored reading it but just bought the audiobook and I actually cannot enjoy it. The narrator is wrong for this story.

Excellent but wrong narrator for this book.

Great engaging storyline and likeable characters. Slightly predictable in parts but didn’t spoil my enjoyment of the book. Dealt well with some tough topics, the empathy and compassion displayed by the characters ensured that though a light hearted approach was taken it didn’t trivialise the issues. Only downside was the narration, the accents were a bit all over the place, it was sometimes hard to determine who was speaking.

Loved the story and the characters

This was the first Marian Keyes book I ever read 14 years ago. In my head, the Irish characters had Irish accents, but according to the woman who read this they actually sounded like drunks doing a racist accent whilst chewing on cotton wool.

Awful reading ruined great story
