About this listen

A short ghost story from the best-selling author of Abbot's Keep. A photographer reluctantly agrees to take images of an abandoned manor house on the Dorset clifftops only to find the building is not completely empty.

Good story

I enjoyed the story, but disliked the narrator. I found his performance quite flat, and added nothing to the sense of malice and unease that should have been portrayed.

Enjoyable but...

I preferred Benedict’s other stories… and the reader wasn’t as good… still, it wasn’t bad. With a free listen.

Ok for a quickie…

A short, 30 minute, jaunt through a decent but somewhat predictable tale. The narrator is competent, however adds very little to this story. There is value here for people who engage in this particular genre, like me, but ultimately there are much better stories told elsewhere. As an Audible Plus title, I do think it's worth the 30 minute investment even if you do come away with very little to shoe for it.

Decent, if somewhat predictable.

The story was good and would have been so much better had the narrator not sounded like he was giving a Hop on Hop off Bus tour of a mundane town.

godd story bad narrator
