In 1998, a 21-year-old gay man named Matthew Shepard was kidnapped and murdered just outside the college town of Laramie, Wyoming. This historic live reading of The Laramie Project featuring Kathleen Chalfant, Brandon Flynn, Midori Francis, John Gallagher Jr., Pooya Mohseni, Kal Penn, Conrad Ricamora, and Samira Wiley was captured over two evenings in December 2025 at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre to honor the 25th anniversary of the revolutionary play that shook America’s conscience.
