Six strangers arrive at an isolated lakehouse for a private retreat led by the enigmatic Dr. Vance. Each carries a hidden burden: debt, control, avoidance, guilt, emotional distance, and the hunger to be wanted. Through a series of intense group sessions, Dr. Vance strips away their polished answers and forces them to confront the truths they've spent years hiding.
As the days pass, the lakehouse becomes more than a setting. It becomes a mirror. The still lake, the heavy fog, the silence in the halls, and the routines of shared meals all reflect the inner lives of those gathered there. Walls begin to crack. Confessions surface. Defenses weaken. What began as discomfort slowly turns into something deeper: the possibility of healing.
Then, without warning, Dr. Vance disappears.
Left alone with only Scripture, their own choices, and each other, the group must decide whether their transformation was dependent on him or whether the real work was always theirs to do. As they step back into ordinary life, they discover the retreat was never about escaping the world. It was about learning how to stay in it honestly.
The Lakehouse Sessions is a psychological spiritual drama about shame, truth, faith, and the courage to stop running.
