About this listen

There are three little words most guys don't want to hear on the first date. Not those... I mean these: "knock me up."

This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS, and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it's not true love. It's a bun in the oven, and I'm not afraid to hit up my sex-on-a-stick coworker to do the job. Ryder is gorgeous, witty, and wild - and he's also a notorious commitmentphobe. That makes him the perfect candidate to make a deposit in the bank of me. I won't fall for him, he won't fall for me, and there's no way baby will make three. Right?

There are four words every guy wants to hear on the first date: "your place or mine?"

When my hot-as-sin coworker makes me a no-strings-attached offer that involves her place, my place, any place - as well as any position - I can't refuse. Besides, I've got my reasons to take her up on her deal even with her one big condition.

There's no way I'll want more from one woman than any position, anywhere, any night. Except...what if I do?

THE KNOCKED UP PLAN is now my favourite Lauren Blakely book/listen. It just grabbed at one minute in and stayed at full engagement until the final word. The premise for the book is there in the title and it's a less-used trope that I love. Not only that, the main characters Nicole and Ryder charmed me with their personalities.

Ryder felt a bit of a departure from the normal Blakely hero as he was a beta-alpha-beta kind of man and I fell for his gorgeous, caring, funny and insecure self. You just know he's going to be something special when instead of saying "you're mine", he says "I'm yours". Nicole provided the plan and I really liked her. The chemistry was everything I expect from Blakely's writing talents with that dose of humour that rocks. Here's an abridged quote (because this is audio, I can't check easily) that really made me laugh.

"There he was in his dark blue jeans, jeans that I'm sure gossiped to other jeans about what it was like to hug his thighs."

The narration duo are excellent and Sebastian York was able to translate a more beta male well. I love these two narrators in action, not a lot can go wrong! I always try to listen to Blakely's books rather than read because I just enjoy the humour and characters more this way.

If someone asked me where to start with Lauren Blakely, this would now be my suggestion. Highly recommended to all fans of hot, romantic comedy.

Oh boy, this is one sexy and sizzling read.

Nicole is at her time in her life where the clock is ticking, she hasn't found the right man to settle down with and wants a baby. After pouring through endless donors and still not finding the man who could give her a child, like a light bulb Nicole thinks of her co-worker Ryder. Ryder is sexy, a commitment phoebe after being burned in a marriage and he ticks every one of Nicole's box's.

I loved it! not only is this book sexy, fun and has great characters, I listened to this on audio and topped with Sebastian York's sexy voice you can't help but swoon time and time again over Ryder.

Ryder is the perfect candidate but will being co-workers in the radio station be a problem? I mean Ryder has one job, granted he has to do it multiple times, he's supposed to knock her up and then that's it but oh the journey to unexpected love is so exciting.

Knocked up is a sizzler of a read with great characters and leads to a heartwarming hea.

Recommended friends to lovers romance with no angst, told in first person dual pov and leads to a hea.

THIS IS ONE SEXY, SIZZLING READ

Having just read Hot Cop by Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone I was expecting much the same. Single woman desperate for a baby, no strings sex etc. I was happy to discover that although the storyline was very similar (are we going to see an influx of these now?) the characters and the writing were very different, oh and I forgot to say that I listened to this on audible with the wonderful Sebastian York and Andi Arndt. I loved all the characters in this story, there were no evil overlords or bitchy exes, it was a complete feel good sexy romance. Nicole is intelligent, witty and and a real nice gal, her friend and work colleague Ryder is hot as sin, witty and an all round good guy. They bantered well together and their chemistry was off the charts. Told in dual POV, I can fully recommend this standalone sweet as sugar romance. The narration, as usual from this duo, was just perfect. Full five stars from me.
