An easy listen. I read this authors work years ago so thought I’d try audiobooks. They are quite formulaic, and there’s no real surprises but it means you don’t have to concentrate.

There was either an odd recording style or problem with the narration in parts. There’s a long empty space between chapters and often when Alexandra is “speaking” it’s difficult to ascertain whether she’s thinking to herself or it’s a continuation of a conversation. Also, the tone of the characters, anger, fear etc doesn’t match the words.

I’ll still listen to more simply because they’re easy but between this book and the next available on Audible, there are two unavailable but I don’t think that will hamper understanding of the series.
