About this listen

THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN. THE TRUTH IS WORSE THAN YOU THINK.

THE JOB’S F*CKED

The Secret Diary of a Police Officer

Policing today is not what the public imagines.

Beneath the uniform lies a profession suffocating under bureaucracy, political interference, and a leadership structure more concerned with optics than justice. Officers are stretched to breaking point, forced to navigate a world where insane decisions fail the most vulnerable, where criminals slip through the cracks, and where those on the front lines are left to absorb the trauma—alone.

The Job’s F*cked – The Secret Diary of a Police Officer is an unflinching, insider’s account of a service on the brink of collapse. With brutal honesty, it exposes the chaos behind the badge, the failures the public never hears about, and the impossible pressures officers face every day.

THIS IS THE BOOK THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO LISTEN TO.

What a brutal and worrying account of the system. Really interesting. Gripping. I’m going to need to listen to this again because parts just left me absolutely speechless.

I knew things were bad but this book should be read by everyone!
The author believes in the job passionately and he wrote this as a warning call to the government that they need to stop tinkering and listen to the brave guys and girls who have the guts to do a job that can make the most hardened people cry yet also make them feel incredibly proud of what they do!
I hope our leaders read this book and understand the message!

Anyone over inspector rank will likely experience uncomfortable parts of this. Why? Because it addresses their behaviors. The book explained policing and how it fit into both public services as well as the criminal justice system so well.

Honesty

A great listen, candid and raw. Thank you Jack for being honest and getting the great debate out there. It is a rare book to have such an honest and balanced narrative.
