As an introvert who has worked many years to be more extroverted, I would have had a completely different experience in the workplace if I'd had this empowering book. It has great insights and is confidence boosting for any introvert about how to use their natural disposition as a strength. I'd never heard the different styles of leadership covered here and really enjoyed hearing the advice of when and when not to use them. There is also sage advice about how to manage and balance your personal needs for seclusion against the social demands of an office environment, during and outside work hours. Highly recommend for any introvert in business, whether in leadership or not!

I used to dread meetings and felt drained trying to “show up” like my extroverted peers. This audiobook helped me shift my mindset and stop overcompensating. It doesn’t try to “fix” you, it helped me lean into my strengths and lead in ways that feel natural. I’ve already applied a few tips at work, and they actually stuck.

As an introvert trying to navigate leadership roles, this audiobook was exactly what I needed. It felt like it was written just for me—acknowledging the challenges of being quiet in a loud world while showing me how my strengths can shine. The communication tips were practical and not about “faking” extroversion, which I appreciated. I’ve already started applying the networking strategies, and they actually feel doable. It’s empowering to realize I can lead without changing who I am.

I had the opportunity to listen to this audiobook and I'm so happy I came across it. I'm an introvert. I'm quiet and don't usually get too loud. It seems like most books on leadership are geared toward extroverts. If you're not loud and commanding, you can't lead. Well, this book changes the narrative. The author goes in depth on the unique strengths introverts posses that make them maybe even better leaders. Obviously there's more to it than just that, but if you're an introvert looking to be reminded about your strengths, listen to this book. It's very powerful!

I was always very unsure of how to make the whole, "Climbing the corporate ladder"-thing work. I see these other people doing it, and they all seem so gregarious and outgoing, and I just felt that me and my introverted little self were never going to get there, even though my ambition and drive was higher than many of those people who are getting the promotions, and climbing the ladder. However, Michael Wu's insights on leveraging introverted strengths like deep listening and thoughtful decision-making felt incredibly validating. It was refreshing to learn strategies for communication, networking, and managing energy that don't involve forcing myself to be someone I'm not. Nick Gallagher's narration was also superb, his calming and engaging voice made the audiobook a pleasure to listen to and perfectly complemented the book's message. I'd highly recommend this book to any introvert looking to embrace their natural strengths and thrive in a leadership position without feeling the need to change who they are.

As an introvert, I can really relate to this book! Yes I am the type of person who would try to be outgoing and social so I can network and advance in my career which was so stressful!

I like the section about strengths assessment and the list of introverts' strength because even introverts have their strengths. As much as introverts try to work on their skills to be a better leader, it is still a stressful tasks; that is why the author shares helpful strategies on how to manage energy to avoid burnout!

There are many activities and exercises which helps with self-discovery to know more about your strengths, values and goals which, in return, will help you to know what leadership style and strategies work best for you!
