I had the opportunity to listen to this audiobook and I'm so happy I came across it. I'm an introvert. I'm quiet and don't usually get too loud. It seems like most books on leadership are geared toward extroverts. If you're not loud and commanding, you can't lead. Well, this book changes the narrative. The author goes in depth on the unique strengths introverts posses that make them maybe even better leaders. Obviously there's more to it than just that, but if you're an introvert looking to be reminded about your strengths, listen to this book. It's very powerful!

As an introvert, I can really relate to this book! Yes I am the type of person who would try to be outgoing and social so I can network and advance in my career which was so stressful!

I like the section about strengths assessment and the list of introverts' strength because even introverts have their strengths. As much as introverts try to work on their skills to be a better leader, it is still a stressful tasks; that is why the author shares helpful strategies on how to manage energy to avoid burnout!

There are many activities and exercises which helps with self-discovery to know more about your strengths, values and goals which, in return, will help you to know what leadership style and strategies work best for you!

I used to think I had to be louder or more outgoing to lead—but all it did was exhaust me. This audiobook felt like a quiet voice saying, “You’re enough as you are.” I finally understood how to lead without faking it, just by leaning into my calm nature. The advice was simple but deeply validating. I walked away feeling seen, grounded, and proud of my quieter path. If you’re done pretending, you’ll feel at home here too.

The Introvert’s Guide to Leadership Success by Michael Wu is a proper sound read. It’s clear, encouragin, and dead easy to get stuck into. Wu shows that leadin ain’t about makin noise, it’s about makin an impact, and he lays out a four step path that helps quiet types turn listenin, thinkin, and empathy into everyday habits.
The bit on communication was boss, it gives you prep tips for meetings, ways to speak clear without ramblin, and follow up moves that keep your influence goin strong. The advice on keepin your energy in check and settin boundaries felt spot on, and the way he compares introverts and extroverts is respectful, not judgy.
The short exercises and ten activity toolkit help you track progress without feelin swamped. All in all, it’s a thoughtful guide for leadin with calm and bein true to yourself.
