Summary

Today, over half of the largest economies in the world are global businesses, controlled by few and impacting many. Business clearly has the power to change the world. But what if we, as individuals, had the power to change the world of business?

For over a decade, Gib Bulloch led a corporate “guerrilla movement” within one of the world’s largest global consulting organizations. Against the odds, he created a not-for-profit inside one of the most profit-driven corporations in the world. Plaudits, prizes, and promotions followed.

But success came at a price. It ultimately cost him his job, health, and perhaps, even his sanity as he found himself the unlikely resident of a psychiatric hospital in Glasgow.

The Intrapreneur is an honest, insightful critique of the "craziness" of today’s business environment and a call to action for a new breed of social activists working within, about to join, or completely disillusioned by today’s business world.

Finding your purpose...can feel like losing your mind.

Praise for The Intrapreneur:

"An inspiring personal account of how purpose and well-being can transform the business world." (Arianna Huffington)

"A story of courage, determination, and persistence, told with a combination of wit, pathos, and refreshing honesty." (Paul Polman, CEO, Unilever)

"It’s refreshing to see business leaders like Gib Bulloch break the taboo surrounding mental health in the workplace by speaking up, openly and honestly, about their personal experiences." (Alastair Campbell, writer and broadcaster)

Powerful Dulcet Scottish Character and Tones

Powerful, authentic story told with great humour. It’s comes to life thanks to Gib’s dulcet Scottish tones and some theatre. Great listen

Interesting read and some great messages

I picked up this book as I knew Gib from the office and I was always fascinated with how he made the ADP programme work within our corporate organisation. Listening to his story is fascinating as I learned so much more about the challenges that he faced in getting this programme set up (in addition to all of the positive things he achieved). Gib is a man with vision, passion, creativity and tenacity which all shine through in his book - he is also a thoroughly nice chap and a great narrator - so I have no hesitation in recommending that you invest a few hours and listen to his story.
