Clear, evidence-based, concrete solutions to problems we all face

The book is very engaging, approachable, well-structure and clearly written. Dr Remes is a researcher at Cambridge Uni, where she obtained her doctorate, and her scientific background really shines through in her accessible and punchy writing. Many psychology books aren’t written by researchers, and end up unbalanced and verbose. In contrast, Dr Remes gives a broad, balanced and concise approach, starting with immediate concrete actions you can take in an emergency, followed by various other strategies all supported by science. She has a commanding understanding of the research, which she interweaves with compelling backstories like that of her mother, and provides real evidence-based solutions instead of gimmicks. I plan to send a copy to my mother because it offers really healthy solutions to negative emotions that well all experience!
