Summary

The Inheritance - A novel of a house haunted by an ancient evil. A tale of lies, envy, and curses spanning generations.

Mike Gray is still reeling from the sudden death of his father when he inherits Willow House, his father’s childhood home. Keen to move out of the city, Mike decides to move his young family to the small, quaint town of Fairview. But not all is right at Willow House. There are dark forces at work, which threaten to destroy what remains of the Gray family. The curse at the heart of Willow House has lain dormant for decades, but is about to be reawakened and unleashed.

Jarring narration

Okay story, but difficult listen due to choice of narrator. Spoken in English accent but when a character spoke southern American accent. Story wasn’t scary but had potential. Just missed the mark.

A good listen

An entertaining story and well narrated. Well rounded character descriptions which you feel you can get to know. I would recommend this book.

Scary and satisfying

Absolutely gripping, I was on tenterhooks pretty much all the way through. Narrator was excellent, just right for this abominable tale!

BRILLIANT

I couldn't stop listening fabulous storyline flowed perfectly, no parts that were not needed as some books have.
I was kinda hoping for Jacob,Marcus, Mary, Edith, and Jack to visit all happy and would like to of found where midnight came from who was he?
The only negative I found odd was the narrator he was brilliant in his narration so not him but found it odd that he was British and Micheals thoughts were in British accent but Micheal character was American and spoke in American accent it took some getting used to.

Overall quite good. Narrator is English but uses an American accent

Would recommend good overall for a plus catalogue. Wish there was more choice for narration being English as opposed to American English which I often find distracting and annoying.

Enjoyable haunted house story

I really enjoyed this, a solid 'family haunted in new house' story. Well written, though not particularly original (but what is, these days?)
I'm disappointed that I don't see anything else written by the author as I'd love to see more of their work.
I also enjoyed the narration.

Was hooked to hear the next chapter good story.

Good story of old history affecting the current time with a satanic twist.
Just my sort of fiction.

Good story if you can get past the narration

OK so why does a story set in America have a British narrator? I couldn’t get past that to begin with but glad I stuck with it as story is pretty decent for a free listen. Character development is excellent and there’s narrator is very strong, although wrong accent! Very predictable but an enjoying listen.
