About this listen
Dear Pastor,
Desire burns within you. You've trained and dreamt of doing large things in famous ways as fast as you can for God's glory. But pastoral work keeps requiring your surrender to small, mostly overlooked things over long periods of time.
You stand at a crossroads. Jesus stands with you. You were never meant to know everything, fix everything, and be everywhere at once. That's his job, not yours.
So what now? Let the apprenticeship begin.
©2015 Zachary W. Eswine (P)2019 eChristianYou don’t have to be a pastor to learn loads from this beautifully written book. Humans are complex, but Christians are even more complex especially when it relates to our church journey or church administration. Zack provided several examples of how to wisely approach some of these issues with love in order to get everyone working together to do the important work of living for Jesus. It was also a nice touch that he made a few references to Eugene Patterson’s book - The Pastor (another great listen).
Really good book
