This is a short listen that made me laugh and made me feel like I was in 1930's Chicago. I learned about so many ways of kliving I have never known! Just like 2020, this era forced so many changes. Everyone was effected in some way but many were able to adapt and many were able to help others. You can tell there is a strong bond in this family. Very fun!

The story brings our mind back to the great depression. The historical context and reflections on resilience offer us helpful collections of ancestors that remind us that, even in the darkest times, stories bring us back to history. I learned American history in high school, and the Chicago of the 1900s gave us a perspective that helped us understand modern culture. The narration was clear, and I enjoyed the music the author implemented.
