loved Tess shyness but loved her determination to stand up for herself.

This started off very slowly and I found my mind starting to wander however I gave it the benefit of the doubt and persevered. It paid off and I did actually enjoy it.
A young girl dies and three families are put under the spotlight afterwards. The story unfolds going between the past and modern day to a surprising conclusion.
I gave it 4 stars due to the slow start but it was worth it in the end.

I was kind of underwhelmed by this book. It is an easy enough read however it was far from a page turner. The characters are simple, the story line is simple. The characters intertwine in a mediocre way, however they are likable.

On the plus side the narration is good.

Not what I thought!

This is the third of this author's books I have read and I didn't feel this one met the mark for me. Maybe I just couldn't relate to the content or the characters as well but I didn't find myself cheering or engaging as I have done with the other titles. It is really clever how the characters lives end up intertwining and I would bet this would make another good tv series much like BLL.
