Story
A friend in need is a friend indeed. And no one is a better friend than hitman-for-hire Lex Harper. When a mate from his past ends up in a Bolivian prison, Harper doesn’t think twice about going to his aid. Beatings, rapes and murders are an everyday occurrence in the prison. But the only way to break his friend out is for Harper to put his own life on the line, in a place where death comes quickly and only the strong survive. Getting into the prison is easy enough – but can Harper get out? And how many people will he have to kill to make it back?

Summary
Money can't buy everything.
But it can buy revenge.
Can a doctor take lives instead of saving them?
British Doctor Raj Patel puts his own life on the line to treat the injured in war-torn Syria. His medical skills help casualties survive against all the odds. But Raj needs to rely on a completely different set of skills when he is taken hostage in a treacherous case of mistaken identity.
Billionaire big-game hunter Jon van der Sandt is driven by revenge - his family have been killed by jihadist terrorists, and he wants his vengeance up close and personal. He has hired ex-Special Forces hard men to snatch the ISIS killers from the desert and transport them halfway across the world to the vast wilderness of his American estate.
But they grab Raj by mistake, and once the killing begins, it's too late to plead mistaken identity. To survive, he'll have to become as ruthless a killer as the man who is hunting him.

Shocked how awful it was
I am a massive Stephen Leather fan and always devour his books- all of them - Jack Nightingale- Dan Spider Shepherd etc. I am also a huge fan of the brilliant Paul Thornley who I always compliment for bringing any title to life, with his genius narration. That being said I just don’t know where to start with this title - 2 words for me “ utter garbage “ I appreciate everyone has their own opinions, but the positive reviews have left me astounded!!!! The story line completely and utterly to stupid for words ( SPOILERS) as though you would help ISIS fighters that have kidnapped you - and also “Raj” was a trained marine ... on what planet was he trained !!! No excitement no adrenaline not a single pulsating moment . I think that Paul Thornley must have really struggled with this title as story was that bad - every isis character called each other “ Bruv” and got confusing. Also lots of hunting animals which was very upsetting and there is an incident with a bear that “ Raj” should have / would have being this top doctor in the marines would have told the stupid idiots it was there fault all along etc . I’m shaking my head in disbelief whilst writing this remembering all the silly / boring twaddle that I have subjected myself to. FIRST TIME EVER THAT A REFUND FOR A STEPHEN LEATHER BOOK is going to be requested. If I could have given zero stars I would have.

Absolutely Fantastic! One of his best!
Fantastic book! Started by setting out the fascinating characters then had you hooked I couldn’t put it turn it off but dreaded coming to the end! I’m a big Spider Shepherd fan and was hoping for something of a similar pace here! I was not disappointed! One Stephen’s best books yet! Great narration as always!

Stephen Leather at his very best!
This must be one of the best Stephen Leather books I have read and that from someone who has listened them all! It is fast paced and suspenseful from the very start. I cannot condone animal hunting in any form so immediately fell out with The Hunter himself but the way the book developed I must admit I ended up liking and feeling sorry for him. All the characters are well developed and Raj is one of the best, a guy who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time drawn into a life or death situation. I must disagree with the previous reviewer about Paul Thornley's narration, I thought that he was at his very best in this book. If I could give this book 10 stars then I certainly would! **********!
