Story
Karl is worse than a newb. He doesn’t even like role playing games. Still, they did give him a choice: totally immerse or die. Now Karl is on his very first adventure into the gaming world of Bridge Quest. It’s a world so real that it’s hard to tell the difference between NPCs and the players; where tastes, smells, sounds and experiences are so vivid you forget you’re in an artificial world. Except for those pesky popups and stats charts, Karl discovers he’s having more fun than in real life.

Story
A Goddess is stirring up trouble, and Arthur happens to be the one caught up in the action. After an unfortunate encounter, Arthur is given a second chance in a new world. To his surprise, this new world has mechanics that remind him of role-playing games from Earth. He has been given a simple directive from the Goddess, to help the people of the world and spread her name. He quickly discovers this will not be an easy task. The world has been overrun with bandits, who work for the lords of the land and cause all the denizens to live in abject ruin.

Kai was the least likely young man to ascend. Raised on his uncle’s potato farm, he began his career as an adventurer with empty pockets and little skill. But a foolish attempt to prove his bravery leads Kai to unlock hidden power within himself and acquire a most unlikely ally. Rhona is a battle-scarred soldier who’s as likely to toss a quip as she is to throw a punch. After setting aside a promising career in the army to pursue the Path of the Bleeding Tiger, she sets out to stop a war and seek atonement for a bloody past.

I never believed in the whole “light at the end of the tunnel” folly where people, after having a near-death experience, would startle awake in a cold sweat exclaiming, “I saw the light!” But there I was, in this so-called “tunnel” facing a glaring light, when the last thing I remembered was sleeping in my room - the royal bed-chamber, as others called it. Had I died? If so, how? King Grey once benefited from unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability but now finds himself reborn in a society dominated by magic.

LOVED IT!
Super stoked to see another book from J.R Davis after reading his last book (hunters dream online) I Downloaded this book for some entertainment while on the job and let me tell you it did not disappoint. Great characters, character synergy and better party banter with descriptive battle scenes it was easy to loose track of time listening. David Reiners narration was fantastic wonderful versatility in his voices and characters.

A good start with some stumbling.
First and foremost over all this is a good book worth your money if you enjoy Fantasy adventure. It was well paced had loveable characters that you grow to care for and a strong enough hook that you want to see where it will go. Now for the flaws there are two that bug me greatly. First we are told the Mc died a few months after his wife did when he was in his 80's yet he acts like a 20 something year old who doesn't have a life filled with experiences witch far enough somepeople never grow up but not once did he ask about his wife when he was face to face with the boatman, aka THE GUY who would know what happened to her SOUL. Second we are told he is a god of lost things and is the vail piercer so you would think that he can see threw Illusions darkness and the like while hiding from those who seek to harm him alongwith standard godly things. yea no dude can't see threw fog and EVERYOTHER GOD just knows where he is pretty much always with no reason given. The only godly thing he does is sees the mana flow of spells, kinda cool, answer prayersand heal kinda fast even his stats are only slightly above average if you average his stats out because A GOD HAS STATS BELOW BASE 10 unless the base is lower then 10. All in all if you wanna have a listen with a fun cast of characters and very interesting premise pick this book up it has it flaws but what doesn't.
