Great story and well read. Very pleased with the narration. Read this when it was first published. Magic!

Fantastic

While Clancy's material is a bit flabby (over-researched - parts of the book read like a high-school textbook on submarines; also the plot is a bit overcomplicated - the Scott Glenn / Sean Connery Film did an excellent job of trimming it down) this remains a great yarn.

Other reviews complain about the narrator, but I found him fine, without being outstanding. Perhaps it is a new recording (it's from 2018) - Lance C Fuller does a perfectlyt workmanlike job on Clancy's workmanlike prose.

Great, but flabby, yarn. The Narration is fine.

Really enjoyed the story & found it an easy listen, the ending is much better than the film.
Also don't let the film stop you from giving it a listen.

A great listening

I have 2 versions of this book as audiobooks and of the two, this is the worst as far as the narration goes. It is just read in a way that feels a little flat, but this is the only version available on Audible so needs must. The narration does take away a little from the experience, but not enough to make this book anything less than superb. Still worth it.

One of my favourite books ever
