About this listen

AN AMAZON BESTSELLING HORROR TITLE.

“If you haven’t read Gary Brandner, you’re missing a treat.” ~ STEPHEN KING

They are man. And they are beast. Once again they stalk the night, eyes aflame, teeth flashing in vengeance. Malcolm is the young one. He must choose between the familiar way of the human and the seductive howling of the wolf. Those who share his blood want to make him one of them. Those who fear him want him dead.

Only one woman and one man want to help him. Even though they can't believe their ears. Or their eyes.

While the plot of Book Two felt unnecessary IMHO, Book Three: Echoes puts some effort into creating a broader tableau for our werewolves and interesting new scenarios, one of which will feature in a future Howling movie.

Of small note is the change in the werewolf aesthetic: now bipedal and eerie luminescent green-eyed, towering over its puny human prey and possessed of great strength - a concession no doubt made to accommodate the design introduced by The original Howling movie.

While the narrator remains the same as with the first two audiobooks (I didn't enjoy his soft, kindly cadence paired with horror-thriller material), his delivery during Echoes appears slightly different and the better for it.

An Improvement Over Book Two.
