I enjoyed this book generally until the end, it didn't make sense. I felt that I had missed something, I've tried to Google the twist to see what the twist was... I guess I'll never know

confusing

I did find the conclusion confusing, to me Reggies life story did not make sense, many loose ends that were not explained.
Could have been really good, this is only my opinion. The performance was good and I did enjoy that.

I only finished this book because I was too busy at work to find something else to listen to. The story was actually non existent and incredibly scattered. It was literally all over the place. The ending was a huge mystery and I felt like I must have dropped off to sleep for a couple of hours while listening as the confusion of the ending was real..........

weird.......

An enjoyable read. Kept reminding me of the film 'Sleeping with the Enemy'. I had imagined a very different twist at the end of the story but liked the one used by the author.

Some understanding of mental health and how subtlety different issues can affect a person is needed here, on reading the reviews some didn’t get it. If you relate or have experienced how trauma can affect the human psyche then this book is definitely a good read. If you don’t then definitely read with an open mind to gain insight, because some things you just totally get. It shows how traumatic episodes in a persons life can affect a them, as well as how difficult it can be to mix back in the world socially, trying to restart your life. The OCD issues were subtle and covered well.

This book for me was relatable in some ways and I felt for the main character, I really enjoyed the twist at the end because it wasn’t easy to even work that out, when you’re making up your own assumptions. An easy read, not too deep, I enjoyed it for that reason, I don’t always want depth, but if you are looking for something, where you want to really get enraptured with the story this book isn’t it.

A Very Good Listen
