Really liked this one. The sense of the time and place well conveyed by author and narrator.

one of my favourite stories from one of my favourite authors. The narrator isn't who I would have chosen, however apart from the lead female voice, which I found a tad whiny, she did everything else well, and once we were a few pages in, it didn't bother me so much.
