About this listen

Ian Bridges works as a hitman and is on permanent stand-by for West End gangster John Broad. He does maybe three or four jobs a year and spends the rest of his life desperately trying to find Mrs Right so he can settle down, but can't and it feels like the world is conspiring against him. He's about to find out he's right.

I strongly recommend The Hitman Diaries to anybody who likes comedy with a dark twist. This brilliant action packed book by Danny King kept me entertained from beginning to end and Dave John's narration of this book was simply fantastic.

A Brilliant Read

It does what it says on the tin - so don't be put off by comments about the language or content of the book. This is not the diary of a nun!!. That said this book is funny and a good 6 hours of simple entertainment

An enjoyable piece of escapism

Interesting concept but dragged out in places the start especially. Worth it in the end

Some drawn out parts.. Narrated very well and some very laugh out loud moments.

Good concept

If you don't like swearing then don't get this - just a fair warning. As that doesn't bother me then I thought the story and narrator were both excellent. The book has a really good pace - it's never boring and keeps you gripped to the end. It's not at all like a diary as the title suggests. A love story that blokes will like with plenty of twists and turns - a highly recommended listen!

Enjoyable, flowing and gripping!
