Summary

A lass begging to marry him might top the list of "oddest things to happen," but Chief Adam Macquarie is desperate. And no matter how much he hates to do it, he's not above lying to get what he wants. Starting with the fact that he just omitted the truth about the situation back at his home - where there are no women and only a handful of other people. Because he has a secret need for a wife himself, one she won't be too happy about when she finds out.

Lark Montgomerie is thrilled the brawny chief agrees to save her from her drunken father's machinations of wedding her off to the first fool that agrees. He's easy on the eyes and no one can be worse than her current options. Now a new life awaits her, on an exciting Scottish isle no less, and nothing will dampen her spirits. That is, until she arrives in her new homeland and realizes more than a few things are amiss....

Contains mature themes.

Easy listen

This was an easy listen, and better than many books in this genre. Didn’t blow me away, but I’ll probably get more in this series.

loved it

I love Heather's books but I think this has become my favourite and was sad when it ended so I'm immediately going off to buy the next, although I'm sad to say there is only one other in the series so far but I'll be eagerly awaiting the next. This has a good story line of which there hasn't been one similar to my knowledge. very enjoyable and of course narration perfect but you wouldn't expect anything less from Timothy.

Better than a Hallmark movie!

Oh my gosh this was so good. Adam is dreamy- perfect hero and Lark… feminine strong and resilient. Great storyline and I cannot wait to see the other brothers meet their matches!!! And Tim Campbell… well yum?!?

Enchanting

Timothy Campbell is a fantastic narrator whether speaking for a male or female character. I always enjoy his narrations. Heather McCollum’s stories are entertaining and difficult to “put down”!

Quick, Enjoyable listen

I enjoyed Adams’s and lark’s story. Just the right amount of sizzle with a bit of intrigue. I hope all of the brothers get their own story. As always Tim Campbell’s voice gives the characters life. Love his Scottish accents. On to Becks story.

GREAT STORY

This was a very good story with a different plot than the normal. Timothy Campbell could narrate the telephone book (if we still had telephone books) and I would listen to every word!! He is the best narrator in my opinion. Great listen and I would recommend it to anyone...this is worth a credit.

Good

This story reminds me of the movie " Seven Brothers and Seven Brides". It's actually one of my favorite movies.😊 Tim Campbell's performance is excellent. Worth a credit. Enjoy!🙂

A Nice Highland Romance

A nice highland romance, with just the right amount of heat.
A little slow in places, yet still a good book.
The heroine is a little hypocritical which annoyed me, and her secret drawn out a bit a too long to my liking. The hero is definitely swoon worthy! Great to see returning characters from her other books/series!
Definitely worth the credit!
