This box set was a great addition for the romance lover. Lindsay and Drew's love story was a ling time coming. She hated him for four years because she was made to believe he hurt her. Drew was the hero of this story made even though you might not fall in love with him right away. This story had a lot of twist and turns, but was worth the ride. Love Andi Arndt and Sebastian York in all that they do.

This is a three book box set. The first book is told from Lindsay’s point of view. The second is from Drew’s point of view. The final book covered both their points of view. The narrators fit the books so that the first book was told solely by Andi Arndt, the second by Sebastian York and the third had the dual narration. What can I say about Andi Arndt and Sebastian York that hasn’t been said before? They are great- some of the best narrators. Sebastian York has a very distinctive voice too and both are so easy to listen to and play out all the roles so well. They add so much to each story.

Now, the story. Ok, this was a tough one. Just hearing about what happened to Lindsay and Drew over and over again was really difficult to take. I really wanted the people to pay, and to pay quickly. But this was a cat and mouse type of story. But who is the cat and who is the mouse? Full of suspense, intrigue, danger and romance (tempered by the darn bad situation the heroine and hero are in) and the book reeled me in and kept my attention.

I thought it dragged a bit. It could have just been that I REALLY wanted the bad guys to get the comeuppance. It could be because I really hated some of the supporting cast, like the parents (as a parent myself, I really wanted to slap them silly). Or it could be that there was a bit of repetition (for instance, the number of times we had to read about what happened to Lindsay was a little too much, in my opinion). I don’t know if this would be a trigger to people but to me, I cringed…a lot. Still, good thriller, interesting and narrated perfectly.

If you like thriller/suspense this is definitely the series for you. It’s got a bit of a dark and violent side so make sure you don’t have any triggers. I really enjoyed the series, the twists and turns even though in the end I felt like it was all sadly for the main character a pointless form of torture. The narration by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York was amazing as always they are two of my favorites so another point in their favor.

Romantic Suspense - A bit to much inner dialogue for my tastes. However the mix of mystery, romance, and politics was engaging and I enjoyed this trilogy for the most part.

I am a Meli Raine lover, and this 3 book set is one of the best listens I have heard in a long time. She has a knack for pulling me in and keeping me captivated for hours. This trilogy has the first book told in Lindsey's point of view, the second in Drew's point of view and the last they alternate. Lindsey is the senator's daughter and after a malicious attack is whisked away to prevent any damage to his career. Now several years later, she is brought home so his declaration to run for president can include all of the "happy" family. What we don't know is what really happened to Lindsey, how her boyfriend, Drew fit in and why it happened. It's fast paced, has a some scenes that are graphic and will make you cringe and an outcome that is so satisfying you will be smiling. Give this a listen, you too will be fascinated by the complexity of politics and what ends Lindsey and Drew will do to find their happiness.

Narrated by the incredible team of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, there was not a scene that is not perfectly crafted. These two work so well together, and play off each other that it's like they are actually the characters telling the story. It's a performance you do not want to miss.
