Summary

Four years ago, presidential candidate's daughter Lindsay thought Drew betrayed her, but now he's back to prove himself. Will she let him?

The last person Lindsay Bosworth expected to be her head of security as she left the meditation center/mental institution she'd called home for the last four years after a violent attack was Drew Foster, her ex-fiancee.

The guy who did nothing while three of his friends violated her on streaming video. Not one damn thing.

As her parents reveal the real reason she's been released, and Lindsay's life continues to be in danger, she doesn't know who to trust.

And if she gets it wrong, she’s dead.

Drew proves himself, time and again, saving her from certain danger as she draws closer to him, hating herself for conflicting feelings so strong she can’t deny them.

But when her attackers play a cat-and-mouse game that reignites old fury, Lindsay decides she’s done being a victim.

Time to make everyone pay.

Because revenge is never harmless.

An intense story of unspeakable acts and betrayal.

This story was well written and exceptionally well narrated. Andy Arndt and Sebastian York are two of my favourites. Four years ago, two young people, in love, attended a party. It was supposed to be a fun night out, but three members of her high school had other ideas. Lyndsey was drugged and so viciously violated, that she spent months in the hospital while doctors repaired her beaten, broken and violated body. It's four years later and Lyndsey has finally been released from the mental institution that her parents shipped her off to, after the violent scandal. Her dad is running for President and wants no feathers ruffled. Her ex boyfriend, Drew, is on her security detail. She thinks that he just sat there and watched, that awful night four years ago. The truth is so much more horrifying. This is the story of two people striking out to find the truth of what happened. But when the violators from four years ago find out Lindsey is home, their sights are set o the highest level; and they have only just got started. Now watch Drew and Lyndsey fight back!

The Harmless Series

Wow, what a trip! I am so glad that all three books were put together to listen since I would have died with the cliffhangers the first two left. I really enjoyed all the twists and turns that this series kept taking and the way everything wraps up at the end is perfect. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

The BEST narrators!!

First, these two narrators together are my favorites!! Andi Arndt I go a bit fan girl over and want to listen to ALL the books that she narrates. I'm not even sure why I'm so crazy about her voice but she speaks so clean and enunciated so clearly that it's just so easy to understand her. I really appreciate that. Sebastian York, I mean, I'm pretty sure audio lovers of the the world would treat him like he's out teenage Justin Bieber (he's still a thing right?). Anyways, I do like his narration even if I'd live to see a bit of a variation in his voice. I need emotion SebYo!! Meli Raine is the pseudo name for Julia Kent. Who knew this hilarious romcom author could totally make my head spin on some romantic suspense?!?! She does though!! This is a tough story!! I spent a while totally mad at Drew and I was just so angry. This storyline was an emotional ride and I felt it in my gut for Lindsey. I feel like the first book, Plan, really set everything up. We met the players and learned the main story. The second book, Plan, is from Drew's POV and we get some twists and turns and it's like major cliffhanger IF book 3, Ruse, wasn't there with the ending. What an ending!! I felt like I was a mess through the last book. Now some books were better than the others but as a whole series, this is not to be missed!! Woah!! #AudiobookObsession

be ready for a book hangover

I never wanted this book to end. I could not get enough of Lindsey and Drew. Lindsey is sent away to protect her father's political career. When she is brought home, to help him reach the presidency, her memories start to return. Her attack is gruesome, hard to get through, but it weaves this story together. I was captivated from the first chapter and I could not let go until the end. Talk about a book hangover. Drew and Lindsey have a past that they both survived, but each one remembers it differently. As the tangled web unravels, my heart broke more for the two of them. The suspense enhances the drama and all the feels. This is one rollercoaster you do not want to miss. Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are an amazing narrating team. The first book is all Andi, the second book is all Sebastian, but the last book is both of them. The narration was amazing. Hearing Andi as Lindsey truly brought her to life. Sebastian narrates Drew's point of view in such a gripping way, I felt as if I was there inside the book. When Andi and Sebastian narrate the third book together, it is the perfect combination to conclude this intense story.

Awesome

I loved it! Book 1 was a bit much a lot of information on repeat. Book 2 was so much better things moving in a direction. Book 3 was the best as everything came to a conclusion! The narration was BRILLIANT! These two narrators never disappoints. 🎧AOR🎧

Harmless box set

If you like thriller/suspense this is definitely the series for you. It’s got a bit of a dark and violent side so make sure you don’t have any triggers. I really enjoyed the series, the twists and turns even though in the end I felt like it was all sadly for the main character a pointless form of torture. The narration by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York was amazing as always they are two of my favorites so another point in their favor. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer 🎧AudioBookObsession

Harmless Series

This is my first Meli Raine series but it definitely won't be my last. There was so much suspense and danger in this story with lots of twists and turns and, of course, a hot and steamy romance. It kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning all the way until the end. I love that the first book, Game, was from Lindsay's point of view, while Ruse was from Drew's point of view and then Plan was both of them. In terms of the narration -- it doesn't get much better than Andi and Sebastian. They make a great team and really know how to bring a story to life. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves romantic suspense. 🎧AudiobookObsession

Plot Twists!

I listen to this series over a few days. I loved the narration it was perfect. The story had a lot of twists and turns which kept me guessing and wanting to know what was gonna happen next. The only thing I didn't like was all the inner dialogue there was just a little too much for me but other than that it was a great series. 🎧AudiobookObsession

Beautiful and Sweet

This box set was a great addition for the romance lover. Lindsay and Drew's love story was a ling time coming. She hated him for four years because she was made to believe he hurt her. Drew was the hero of this story made even though you might not fall in love with him right away. This story had a lot of twist and turns, but was worth the ride. Love Andi Arndt and Sebastian York in all that they do. #AudioobookObsession

Romantic Suspense

Romantic Suspense - A bit to much inner dialogue for my tastes. However the mix of mystery, romance, and politics was engaging and I enjoyed this trilogy for the most part. AudiobookObsession

Harmless Review...

Really liked books 1 & 2, with so many twists and emotions. Book 3 brought closure, but still had some questions about some of the characters. Which is why I guess I need to listen to the next installment. My favorite narrators always rock the story, taking it to the next level - excellent work!

A beautiful story of two souls destroyed by a brutal gang and redemption seemed with two souls finding each other

I love this story , though it starts out with a brutal episode of violence attack and Lindsey having to come home to be a puppet to her parents seeking presidential status. As you keep reading, you wish also for vengeance, for the truth and mostly for both of them to be together and for justice

My heart kept pounding

This whole series made me feel deeper then I thought I would, it is dark and painful, it has triggers and does take on a ride with twists and horrible family life.

excellent story

What a terrific story! These two actors together are the best duo I have ever listened to. Of course the plot is wildly unrealistic but it fulfills my need for "let's pretend " . I chose to listen to the entire trilogy without gaps for continuity and get the full effect of the story. The two principle characters were well written and fully fleshed out , allowing the reader to actually feel everything they were feeling. I loved the ending and would have really enjoyed it even more if there had been an epilogue. But I suspect that may be covered in the next series about Jane and Mark, two of the supporting characters. I'm looking forward to reading it too.

Not all happy!

All always Sebastian & Andi were great. The storyline wasn’t bad. I was mostly annoyed that they didn’t say what happened to Drew. 3 books & we don’t really know what happened. Which means we have to make up something in or heads, smh. VERY ANNOYED.

Not what I was hoping for

I was looking for thriller drama not silly teen romance. Some of the sections were truly cringe-worthy. Embarrassingly crude instead of romantic. The plot wasn't terrible so I gave it three stars.

Don’t bother

I LOVED the first book. HATED the next two because they were NOT like the first one. More just a bunch of sex scenes, no real mystery or intrigue. And I hated Drew’s voice. Doesn’t go with the character at all!

So Much Inner Dialogue

This series really should have been one book at half its length. I think I would have enjoyed it much more if 1) it wasn’t so drawn out by way too much droning inner dialogue, and 2) every tense, exciting, or intimate scene wasn’t interrupted constantly by repetative said inner dialogue. It took me completely out of the scene preventing me from getting lost in the moment. I could have looked past the unrealistic storyline and dialogue if the author could have just let me do that.
