Critic reviews

Brutal, bruising and brilliant
Has enough breakneck action and suspense to be a real page turner
Builds pace and tension, till you’re fit to burst … a fine crime thriller that leaves wiggle room for another in the series
Kernick has an enviable knack of turning out readable police thrillers with great action scenes, engaging characters and a strong storyline, and The Hanged Manis no exception.

Thoroughly enjoyed the story, well written and well narrated. I have listened to the series and look forward to the next one.

I loved the Hanged Man, probably more than the Bone Field. It was a fast-paced, thrilling continuation of the Bone Field story that made me keep listening even though I had other things to do. In the end I gave up trying to do anything else just to get to the end.
The narrator was great and did the different voices extremely well. I got a real sense of who the characters were.

Gripping thriller

I enjoyed the Bone Field and was a little miffed when the ending was incomplete and I was drawn into buying this book as the sequel. That was not to great a penance and the Hanged Man was every bit a good as the Bone Field but the ending was disappointing again. Please stop playing games with your readers Mr Kernick , you are a good author and write an engaging book but getting one book for the price of two makes me wary of further purchases.

Set up for a sequel?
