About this listen

Set against the backdrop of the Sudean kingdom, Aleron, a simple country boy, discovers that he is the long-lost heir to the throne—a halfblood with both human and elvish ancestry, destined for greatness. As Aleron grapples with the weight of his newfound destiny, he must also come to terms with the truth about his grandfather, a legendary elvish sorcerer thought to have perished millennia ago. Together, they embark on a journey of self-discovery and acceptance, guided by an ancient prophecy suggesting Aleron's role in shaping the fate of the kingdom.

But Aleron's challenges are far from over. When his betrothed is abducted by Sudea's enemies, he must harness his growing magical abilities to rescue her from captivity. Faced with difficult choices and unforeseen consequences, Aleron must confront the true price of power and sacrifice.

"The Halfblood King" is a gripping tale of love, magic, and destiny that will captivate listeners until the very end.

I really enjoyed the story and narration, I followed the adventure but, I'm confused there is not another book to follow and the story was far from over!

what happened at the end!

The story is beautifully written, with a host of great characters set in the well defined world of Aertu.

The vocals are clear and engaging, with a lovely rich tone and not too slow. I love the clever way accents are used for the characters, avoiding cliche choices but delivering depth to each individual - even when they're speaking another language!

I intended to listen to this for a chapter or so, but I ended up listening for 3 hours straight!

I'm looking forward to the next book coming out.

A fun, engaging story
