About this listen

Take the leap.

She's got her feet planted on the ground. He'll teach her to fly.

Jessica, a curvy, driven, neat-freak lawyer is ecstatic when she finally gets her dream job - even though it's taking her away from her hometown. When she meets over-the-top, man-mountain Mikey, a fitness buff and veterinarian with a messy life in all senses of the word, she thinks she just walked into the second-most exciting adventure of her life.

His larger-than-life personality fascinates her, but also shakes the foundations of her quiet, introverted self, knocking her off-kilter. It's a bad idea to let him take her on as a weight-loss client. It's an even worse idea to get involved with him since he's her manwhore roommate...and she's seen him in action.

If they give into their undeniable attraction, is it just a train wreck waiting to happen? Or will their desire fuel a chance at real love?

If you love steamy romance, be sure to check out the fourth standalone in the Giving You series.

I was absolutely moved by Jessica and her weight struggles in this story! I felt so connected to the heroine. The author did justice to the plus size community with this novel and it’s authenticity. Yes, portions of the story were extreme or unusual but overall I felt like the nature of the beast was articulated well. The mental aspect of obesity is just as important as the physical. Food isn’t the only issue.

I really liked the hero, despite his flaws and past. Look forward not back. He was a bit of a mess in the beginning but started to get his act together the more he was emerged in the wonder that was Jessica. She made him want to be more, be better. Mikey’s honesty, raw attraction and devotion to Jessica was simply incredible. He wanted her to be happy, whether that was at her current weight or smaller or larger. He truly felt she was the most beautiful woman he’d ever encountered. Parts of the dialogue were on the cheesy side but were offset by the parts that were hot and sultry. The chemistry between the two was fire!!!

This was a solid 4 star read for me. I will absolutely read more from this author in the future.
