But good or evil, innocent or guilty, none has ever seen the brutal likes of the new prisoner, John Coffey, sentenced to death for raping and murdering two young girls. Is Coffey a devil in human form? Or is he a far, far different kind of being?
There are more wonders in heaven and hell than anyone at Cold Mountain can imagine. In The Green Mile, Stephen King builds the tension and then delivers a revelation that will truly blow your mind.

My favourite book.

It dose not disappoint, I struggled to stop listening to go to bed, listens when I could at work or travelling, I was captivated and thrilled the whole way, you could say I was mesmerised with the story.
The setting is timeless and easy to imagine, the characters strong/memorable and the story captivating, exhilarating and heartbreaking.
I can imaging the actors of the film as the characters on the green mile as if on set for the film which makes it so relatable but where areas where cut from the film or things different, my imagination ran wild.
This is a must listen or read for all those who like mystery and suspense
WOW and shacking

Loved it

It can be harrowing at times so be warned, the subject matter will not be for those of nervous dispositions. That said the matters are handled well and not glorified. The descriptions of executions and crimes are enough to convey the horror and while they are not what I would call enjoyable, they are important and necessary and sensitively described.
The audio performance here is first class and really puts the emphasis on the text in the places I did in my own head when reading it some time ago. The nature of King's writing and Muller's performance is such that you are transported to the scenes with no effort on your part.
Cannot recommend this audiobooks enough.
