Discovering this author has been a revelation. Will Patton is a master and brings these books alive. I am on my third consecutive book by JLB, read by Will Patton and still feel mesmerised by the language, depth of detail and sense of place (Louisiana) of the series.

Incredible lyrical storytelling

I have listened to several of this authors books and am impressed once again!
The story is gripping and fast moving and I have stayed up till the early hours to finish the book when I returned from my holiday. ( I ran out of beach time)

This was on offer 6.99 down from 24.99, so I wasn't especially optimistic when I decided to get it, I mean if it's brilliant, why would it be so cheap? Well, what a joy, well written and well read. Recommended to all, especially those not afraid to cry!

Pleasant Surprise
