Summary

Brought to you by Puffin.

'And we're going to live here, happily ever after, just like a fairy tale.'

When Dad tells Luna and her little sister Aurora that they're moving to live in a real tower, it's almost like they've stepped inside a fairytale.

But everything is not as magical as it first seems. The tower needs patching up, Dad still doesn't have a job and they're not even allowed in the room up at the very top.

When it's time to start at their new school, Luna quickly finds a friend, but six-year-old Aurora absolutely hates the children in her class. She prefers to spend her time with her imaginary friend Tansy. Aurora's make-belief life causes problems for them all - and it seems like Aurora really believes Tansy exists...

Is there really a curse on the tower - and will Luna be able to break it?

A spine-tingling tale from the bestselling Jacqueline Wilson.

Loved it ❤️

I loved it so much there was no point in the story that I didn’t like
But the last two hours were my favourite part
The eight hours of the story only felt like two hours to me

A bit long winded

This took a seriously long time to get to the good bit. In fact, only the last 2 hours out of 8 had anything to do with the title. It seemed to be a lot about explaining everyday details of the family, and characters that were introduced didn't really have anything to do with the ending. Was expecting a few things to be tied up but nope. A bit disappointing

Easy read, great narrator

Very easy to follow and interesting throughout. Good narrator who reads each characters voices well (not put on or over the top, which often puts me off audible books). I’m a JW fan and this didn’t disappoint.

It was okay

Its good, altho the good part was only within the last 2 hours. I was listening to this as night and it kinda gave the me a lil bit of the shivers lol 😭

But its a good story, altho before the last 2 hours it was kinda just explaining their everyday life n stuff

If you get scared easily especially if u listen to it at night then idk if i would recommend this but if u dont get scared easily then i would recommend!

Overall pretty good

Okay..

I’m an adult fan of JW, I’ve read/listened to every single one of her books for the nostalgia factor and because they’re a comforting listen. I’ve enjoyed some of JW’s new releases but this wasn’t one of them. I did like the characters portrayals, and the performance was good, but the storyline was overall underdeveloped and lack lustre. I wanted more explanation for the character’s behaviours and resolutions for them, but it felt very rushed. Not a very satisfying ending either unfortunately.
