I only recently discovered this author through her other series emerald bay which I was about to start reading however when looking her up I noticed this series came before that one so decided to start with it. I'm so glad I did, this was a lovely start to what promises to be a great series of books and i'm looking forward to reading the rest.

Each book is centred around 1 of the four women Michelle, Erin, Nina and Reggie. The first book is Michelle's story. After losing her husband of 25 years Michelle is just beginning to realise she needs to start getting her life back together she's struggleing financially and is at a crossroads in her life. Best friends Erin, Nina and Reggie are doing there best to support her despite going through difficulties of there own.

When Michelle hears about an inherritance from her birth mother and goes to Sugarsand beach to take a look at the property Erin, Nina and Reggie quickly see it's potential and convince Michelle that it could make a fantastic inn and allow all four women to start there own business within creating it. Before becoming a stay at home mum Michelle was a tallented designer and had studied business. Erin has lived life as a nomad traveling the globe offering tourguides and different activities so she sees potential for offering outside events for potential customers. Nina is a tallented sheff who's always wanted her own Restaurant and seeing the ins fantastic kitchen makes her believe this could be possible and Reggie a tallented gardiner who's keen on starting her own land scaping business.

Now the four best friends are in business together i'm looking forward to the other books in the series.

Ive loved Danielle Steel for years. But I’ve got bored of “she was so beautiful and thin” and “wealth, success” boring. But this was a lovely story in a similar tone but none of the repetitiveness wealth, success and body shape.
