Great to hear Sue’s voice again sharing her life story. Some parts I knew others less so, she is most definitely a game changer and possibly someone people are still unaware of , yet what an impact she has had from grass roots to the top level in sport. Thank you great listen !

I have been a long standing fan of Campbell’s work. It is truly astonishing that one person can be behind so many ground breaking sporting events in the UK. This book takes us through the person and her work. Loved it.

This book gives numerous examples of someone who has driven transformational system change across elite performance, education and grassroots sports. Sue’s ability to put together, lead and empower high performing teams is inspirational - all told in a humorous, engaging and humble way. Her leadership story provides so many lessons to anyone striving to drive change in their organisation - tackling systems and cultures in such an effective way. Two quotes stand out to me - I) “Integrity is about doing what is right, not what is popular or expedient”; and ii) “if you want to be at the cutting edge of innovation and change, you need to be prepared to get cut”; and the last chapter especially was just exceptional as Sue reflected on her mission ‘to use the power of sport to change lives’. I urge anyone wanting to see/hear what effective leadership looks like to read this book!
