Critic reviews

An absolute corker – wickedly relatable story, wonderful characters and a great twist (T. M. Logan on The Other Woman)
A compulsive, claustrophobic read. It made my heart rate climb (Emma Kavanagh on The Other Woman)
A nice twist . . . I think a lot of readers will probably identify with events in the book (Jojo Moyes on The Other Woman)

I often hear of books with twists and turns throughout but don’t actually experience this. In this book though there truly are. Loved it !!

This is the second of Sandie Jones' books that I have listened to and as an up and coming fiction writer, she doesn't disappoint and has plenty more to give!

It would be difficult to review the book for its content without giving the plot away, but I can safely say she has entirely grasped the emotional turmoil of a bad relationship, having your world turned upside down and taking back control. The story flowed at a good pace and you really felt for each of the characters as their lives unfolded from the past into the present. Sandie has great delivery, emotional understanding and a knack of twisting a story when you least expect it.

I'll be honest and say that this isn't my usual genre of book, but her first one "The Other Woman" was so good, I couldn't resist to see what else she had to offer, I was entirely entertained for the whole 9 hours. If I could have given it more stars I would have.

In terms of performance, Nathalie Buscombe does really well, albeit that some of the male characters tended to sound a bit similar, but overall, it didn't detract from the listening and it was easy enough to follow who was who.

Captivating with an unexpected twist

This was a great read, lots of twists in the tale. Just when I thought I knew what was happening and what the outcome was going to be, something happened to disprove me! I wasn't expecting the final outcome at all. It had me at the end of my seat a few times!! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. I have read her other book, and that was excellent too.
All in all, it was a very cleverly written book and it would make a great TV serial.
The narration was very good although, seeing as part of the book was Alices tale, and part was Beths tale, I think 2 narrators should have been used, one for each female.
Recommended!!

Brilliant!!
