A short but sweet collection

4 short stories, which seem to have been written in reverse 😂 the last book was probably my favourite out of all of them. Each story seems to follow the trend of love at first sight which I’m not a fan of. These books are clean in that there is no explicit content. I listened to the audible version by Xe Sands and I thought she did an excellent job. The actual characters personalities were also enjoyable. The stories being so short made it difficult to fully connect with them in my opinion but each story is linked in that it’s about 3 best friends and a sibling for in the last book.
If you’re in the mood for a quick sweet read then you’ll likely enjoy this box set. I have to admit I prefer this authors regency romances but that’s my go to genre 😂

Lovely short romance story bundle

These are sweet romances which are narrated well. The stories are all simple and sweet, perfect for a quick fix of escapism. In each story the girl meets the boy within the first two chapters, it is immediate ‘like’ and they quickly get together. No drama, not a lot of extra story but a lovely read.

A set of sweet contemporary romances

You can't go wrong with a book by Heather B. Moore, she's an automatic read for me. This is a collection of four previously released novellas in a great collection. I enjoyed some of the stories more than others but all are well written and are clean romances.

FALLING FOR SYDNEY--Sydney seems to have the perfect life, and Rian's the perfect fiance that she's going to marry in a couple of weeks. Suddenly, and without any prior warning it all falls apart with a life shattering event that changes everything Sydney has imagined for her future. Instead of finding Rian at his apartment, she finds a man who claims to be his brother, Jake. Sydney discovers Rian was not the man she thought he was or pretended to be.

I don't know how I'd react to something so devastating but Sydney seemed to recover and bounce back a little too quickly for someone who was in love and almost married to another guy--even if he turned out to be a complete fraud. Her relationship with Jake felt a little rushed, although I liked Jake. Sydney's lucky to have girlfriends like Maria and June.

FALLING FOR MARIA--Maria loves her job but doesn't care at all for several of the changes that are being implemented since a new company bought them. She can't wear her bright colored wardrobe, decorate her cubicle/office and inter-office romances are forbidden. She tries to get her coworkers to support her when she questions their new boss, Walker, about the new policies, but when they don't back her up she considers quitting. Can her new swoony-worthy but rule following boss change her mind?

This was my favorite story in this set. Maria was spunky and wasn't afraid to question the need for all them to dress almost the same and do their work in drab cubicles/offices. I couldn't picture her with Josh, since he's the one who wanted to keep their relationship a secret. I thought it was funny when he changed his mind and she told him they weren't getting back together. I also thought the attraction and relationship with Walker was believable and didn't feel rushed.

FALLING FOR JUNE--June and her best friends, Sydney and Maria, are in Maui for a vacation. They have a gorgeous beach neighbor, Lance, who's very interested in June. She's not keen on having a vacation fling, but she's definitely attracted to Lance and the sparks are there. Lance is a great guy, he and June spend a lot of time together. Sydney and Maria encourage her in this new relationship when they find out Lance and June live an hour away from each other.

This is a wonderful getaway story--I mean it's Hawaii! I liked how Lance encouraged June to try new things since her latest boyfriend was a jerk who demeaned her and took away some of her self confidence. I didn't feel their relationship felt rushed since they were in Hawaii for a week and spent quite a bit of time together, although I wish this one were a little longer so I could get more of June and Lance's story once they were back home.

FALLING FOR LUCY--Can you relate to having a sibling who's perfect? If so, then you'll be able to relate to Lucy, who's older sister Sydney is "perfect". Lucy can't seem to find her place in this world. She's dropped out of college--college isn't for everyone--and has recently been fired from her latest job, but it looks like things are about to change for Lucy. She gets a job at a bookstore, which is basically her dream job because she LOVES to read. Then she meets her boss, Adam.

I loved this story because Lucy is just trying to find where she fits in. It's evident she's found her place in this independently owned bookstore as she starts suggesting small changes to bring in customers and Adam agrees with her. I love the scene of the store's first storytime, where she wears a costume and how she interacts with the kids. Of course Adam fell in love with her.

Clean but steamy novellas

Clean but steamy novellas. Because of the short format, there’s insta-love. If you are ok with that, then you’ll enjoy the books. I’m not usually a fan of insta-love, but really enjoyed the entire ‘Falling For’ series.

Falling for Sydney (3 stars)

Sydney feels that something is wrong with her fiancé He's seemed distracted and it has her wondering if it's just her, or if something is going on. Enter his older brother who is a broad-shouldered, handsome, responsible, caring rancher. Just the man to enlighten and then comfort her. ;-)

Falling for Maria (3 stars)

Maria and her boyfriend, Josh, have been keeping their relationship a secret. Along comes a corporate take-over complete with new rules about inter-office dating (among other things). It's the straw that breaks the camel's back for Maria and Josh's relationship. After that...? Well, let's just say things move quickly (it IS a novella, after-all!)

Falling for June (3 stars)

It is easy to relate to June and her insecurities, but as another reviewer stated, hard to connect with her...That said, it was fun to experience, second-hand, her falling in love and gaining more confidence as a result. This is a novella, so insta-love plays a role, although tempered by the ending--spoiler alert-- where both admit that something special has happened and that they are both willing to face difficulties to try to make their budding relationship work.

Falling for Lucy (3.5 stars)

“Falling for Lucy” was a great addition to the series. (I wish it had been longer than a novella; I wasn’t ready for it to end!)

I loved Lucy’s character; her insecurities and strengths felt authentic. Adam and his family are so realistic-complete with all their issues. It felt so right that these two clicked and was enjoyable watching the slow burn build to something more.

Narration: (4.5 stars)

Ms. Sands has a voice I could listen to forever. It's calming and smooth. She’s excellent! So much expression! She’s also got great pacing and men’s voices that sound like men.

*poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special

Full of romance and fun!

I enjoyed these stories of romance for a group of strong women and men who have enough strength and self confidence to appreciate that. These stories are sweet, surprising and full of spine-tingling romance!
I received an advanced listening copy of this audiobook. I am leaving a voluntary review.

Great set of quick romances

This was a very enjoyable series of quick romances! Author Heather B. Moore wrote some very sweet, non-angsty romances. They were fun to listen to and the narrator, Xe Sands, did a fantastic narration!

FALLING FOR SYDNEY: What started as a romance of Sydney and Ryan, developed into a romance of Sydney and Jake...listen to the story to find out who they are and why. This was a twisted story of sorts, but well done. This story introduces us to Maria and June, her BFF's.

FALLING FOR MARIA: This is a boss/employee romance...and was my favorite of the set! I loved how Maria spoke her mind and was a strong woman. I loved the setup of this storyline and the characters!

FALLING FOR JUNE: June and her friends are on vacation in Maui, and they meet their hot vacation neighbor. Since Maria and Sydney are already spoken for, they push June to have a vacation "fling" with Lance, but it ends up being more.

FALLING FOR LUCY: Lucy is Sydney's sister, and she feels like the family "failure". Until she walks into a bookstore on a rainy day, to answer an ad for a position. This romance tells of Lucy and Adam.

Overall, I really enjoyed these stories. They were predictable, non-angsty, really enjoyable, and quick listens. I would recommend this set! I would give it more of a 4.25 star rating...it deserves more than a 4.0, but not quite a 5.

interesting collection of short stories

Overall Rating: 5 stars
Story Rating: 5 stars
Narrator-Xe Sands: 4 stars

This is an interesting collection of very short stories. All of these stories are very clean and sweet romances. Each story's main character is unique, found love, and on their way to a fulfilling life.

At my request, I was given a free copy of this audiobook from the author. I have voluntarily left my review and my opinions were my own. I recommend this book to short romance lovers.

Falling for Sydney
Rating: 4.5

Sydney's fiance, Ryan, had a life she knew nothing about. It was a complete surprise to her. Read to find out what Ryan did that was so despicable.

Falling for Maria
Rating: 3.5

This was a story about relationships and office politics. Maria, Walker, and Jousua were part of a love triangle. In the beginning, I found Maria very abrasive.

Falling for June
Rating: 5

June felt she was average and run of the mill. Someone who was on the outskirts of groups. June was my favorite character in this collection. It was great to see her evolve from an unsure to a confident woman, all because she met Lance.

Falling for Lucy
Rating: 5 stars

Lucy considered herself aimless and not of much worth. Will working in a bookshop and meeting Adam change her image of herself?

A sweet collection of clean romances

This boxed set contains four enjoyable novellas by Heather B. Moore. Three best friends and a baby sister all get their chance to find romance in unique settings and circumstances.

The most significant complaint I have regarding the collection is that the books aren't in chronological order. In Book 1, Sydney and Ryan break up. (That's not really a spoiler when you read what the story's about.) But in Book 4, they're still together. Same with June's love interest. It almost seems as if the books were scrambled and then randomly labeled 1, 2, 3 and 4.

That said, each story is unique and enjoyable, although sometimes a little implausible. (Two of these dear ladies fall for their bosses--an HR nightmare!) Yet I always enjoy books by Heather B. Moore and Xe Sands. And the two together are fantastic!
