About this listen

When every second counts in a world without power, a pilot's fight to save his family becomes a breathtaking journey of courage and survival.

In this electrifying EMP thriller, airline pilot Ross races against time and chaos to save his wife and son from a world plunged into anarchy. With society unraveling, and accompanied by his co-pilot Henry, Ross's mission is fraught with perilous obstacles and ruthless adversaries. Meanwhile, his son Matthew faces his own treacherous journey, pursued by enigmatic enemies. This nail-biting tale of survival, courage, and unbreakable family bonds is a must-read for fans of high-stakes, post-apocalyptic action.

Losing power was only the beginning, now one couple must work together to survive

James and Marla Weller are preparing for a relaxing weekend, when an unexpected blackout spreads far beyond their St. Louis suburb and starts a devastating chain reaction. But the disabled power grid was only the beginning of a national nightmare as their vehicles and cell phones won’t function either. A series of building explosions rock downtown, leading to a mandatory evacuation. Amid the chaos, the young couple must make a decision on where to go. A possible solution emerges when a self-proclaimed survivalist offers them refuge in his remote cabin far from the city and away from the chaos. But James and Marla soon discover that survival isn’t as clear as they think, and that escape can lead to dangers all its own.

the first story was really good.
the second less so. the story was silly, they continuously faced danger but the characters refused to believe it was dangerous out there. the characters acted in a way which made no sense.

more often then not the dialogue between characters was odd. its just not the way conversations happen and was awkward.

a lot of reputation in story and a lot in dialogue. The girl twin in one story repeats 10 times that her brother was her best friend.

better writers get this idea accross not by repeating it in dialogue but through story telling.

basic at its worst and average at its best .
I wish the first story was expanded it was written well.

good and bad

This worked well and I liked the different stories and as always the narration worked well. It was a great way to spend some time listening to what I call cosy post apoloytic audio. This collection of author and narrators always deliver for me.

Good mixture of stories and well narrated

The three books are not related to each other. I was expecting a single story from start to finish and found it confusing. The first story is #69 in a series. Totally confusing. Don't get used to the characters because they totally change in the next book

It's basically three unrelated stories
