Story
This is the story of four sisters Grimm - daughters born to different mothers on the same day, each born out of bright-white wishing and black-edged desire. They found each other at eight years-old, were separated at 13, and now, at nearly 18, it is imperative that they find each other once again. In 33 days they will meet their father in Everywhere. Only then will they discover who they truly are and what they can truly do. Then they must fight to save their lives and the lives of the ones they love. Three will live, one will die. You’ll have to read on to find out who and why....

Story
For centuries, the vineyards at Château Renard have depended on the talent of their vine witches, whose spells help create the world-renowned wine of the Chanceaux Valley. Then the skill of divining harvests fell into ruin when sorcière Elena Boureanu was blindsided by a curse. Now, after breaking the spell that confined her to the shallows of a marshland and weakened her magic, Elena is struggling to return to her former life. And the vineyard she was destined to inherit is now in the possession of a handsome stranger.

But when my husband of 20 years packs up and heads for greener pastures, and my son heads away to college, that's exactly what my midlife becomes. A do-over. This time, though, I plan to do things differently. Age is just a number, after all, and at 40 I'm ready to carve my own path. It’s a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a dragon. Summary
The Fairy's Tale is the first novel in The Pathways Tree series.
With surprising plot twists and compelling characters, The Fairy’s Tale is a whirlwind adventure into the sinister world behind classic folk tales and myths.
Bea is a lowly cabbage fairy, but she dreams of being an official Fairy Godmother. So when she is finally given a chance to prove her worth, Bea is determined to make a success of it. Besides, how hard can a Happy Ever After story be? Every girl wants to be rescued by a handsome man, don’t they? Apparently not.
Bea's heroine doesn't want to be in her story, and her hero is much more interested in the ugly sister. The same ugly sister who is trying to overthrow the Kingdom. Suddenly, Bea must confront the fact that her characters are as real as she is - and just like her, they are determined to go their own way. The problem is, if Bea fails to finish the story, she faces a fate much worse than being put to sleep for a hundred years.

My first audio book of many
I enjoyed this immensely. It's got a moral running through it and was quite easy to drift off from the sometimes horrid reality of real life. It is also believable. One person momentary decision can, indeed, change lives.

blah meh
Interesting premise but the heroine is insufferably incompetent. So am returning this one.
The way it's written tries too hard to be funny but only achieves being cute and shallow. The performance is unremarkable. Not enough nuance. Characters blend too much with each other.

Couldn't put it down
I really enjoyed the story. It takes it time in showing you everything from all perspectives. The characters have a believe able relationships and their chemistry is well balanced.
Some of the characters are not yet fully developed so I can't wait to learn more about them in the next books.
