This magical tale has been beautifully brought to life by a very good narration. It was a pleasure to listen to a favourite book read so well.

I was initially looking for some light background story as I had just finished quite a dark and long book. This was free so I gave it a go. Right from the start, the narration is superb. It hits exactly the right note. As the story develops the subject matter covers so many topics about how women are perceived, relationships and their complexity. Social pressures from Government, morality even to some extent a fascist regime. All written in such a light, engaging and clever way that keeps the plot moving along. I'm sad it's ended and if I had paid for it, would think it well worth it. I'm off to see if I can find more from the author.

Note the plot you would expect, it's far better!

it took some time to get to a point where the book starts to be interesting, but once you there it is great!

I love retelling of fairy tales, this one was very different but it was such fun picking up the hints and nods at the classic tales. Great fun!
