The writing is what made this work for me. The sentences are short enough to follow while doing other things, but the explanations still have substance, and unfamiliar terms are introduced before they become confusing. I liked the steady rhythm and the way each topic leads naturally into the next, from canon history to Enoch, Jubilees, and Meqabyan. The only reason I gave the story four stars is that I sometimes wanted a little more detail on the books themselves. Still, as an introduction, the careful wording and plain style make this much easier to absorb than most online material I’ve found.
