Summary

An impossible mission, for a man who barely exists.

The mysterious assassin known only as Victor is locked in an uneasy alliance with the CIA. And he has a list: Three names, three victims. Worst of all, Victor is given just two days to take down his targets, forcing him to compromise his usual extreme care.

With each name Victor crosses off his list, the game grows far more complex - and far more lethal. A conspiracy begins to unwind and suddenly this perfect assassin becomes the perfect target.

Zooming from Moscow to London and Washington, and loaded with suspense, twists and sex appeal, The Enemy is a high-octane thrill-ride ideal for fans of Lee Child.

A great New franchise

Where does The Enemy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best new characters I have found, no more Will Robie coming over the horizon I was chuffed to find Victor

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Enemy?

The tensions was palpable in the book and Tesseracts calmness was chilling

What does Daniel Philpott bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The readers tonality and acting skills made you feel like you were watching a drama

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Victor the assassin, ice cold but with a heart

Any additional comments?

Thoroughly recommend to all

Too much focus on the guns used for me

The storyline and lead character is fine - just gets a bit lost in the amount of detail given on basically everyone's choice of firearms.

afterthoughts from 2 novels...

Strange - some characters from the first novel lack the certain flow and integrity; will give it a last go in the 3rd novel to see what direction author leads the main actors.

As entertaining as the first book.

Second confirmation that Victor 'the 1 man army' is a double hard bastard. If you like action this is for you.

Back on track!

So glad the excitement of a good tale has returned Victor to quality Wood writing! Lots of intrigue, sub-plots and international agencies to lend to a gripping story. We even see a caring side to the enigmatic assassin. Great stuff!

Narrator excellent, but story not as good as first

Great narrator, but story not quite as gripping and interesting as the first book, intrigued to see where it goes from here though.
