About this listen

A planet in the endless emptiness of space, far from the warmth of any sun.

And yet there are people who populate its vast caverns, living, working and loving. Since time immemorial, they have been on course for Andromeda, the neighboring galaxy of the Milky Way. This is the prophecy of the ancients, the one goal that unites them all, their cult.

But then the unthinkable happens: the journey stops because the planet enters the orbit of a mysterious object that can't be seen in any telescope. Scientists doubt its very existence, though they can't give any other explanation as to why the journey to Andromeda has come to an end.

And then the messages start.

The narrator is good. He has a voice that builds tension even when nothing is happening! This is a fun story, it's an interesting concept and it does require a little bit of just rolling with it. There was a couple of times I felt the story started to slow and a few where it just glazed over something I'd have liked more explaining. Honestly if you can't suspend your belief a little for science fiction you're probably reading the wrong genre! I enjoyed this and I was interested in reaching the conclusion. I read this as a free copy and I'm not sure if I'd pay for it. Maybe if I didn't have anything else on my list I'd pick this up.

Pretty good story, definitely enjoyable.
