Critic reviews
The story is endlessly fun - full of mischief, adventure and magical twists that spark their imagination... It's amazing that the first book in the series was written in 1939, yet the story still feels fresh and full of magic for today's kids
Any additional comments?
These books were my favourite when I was a child and I've loved listening to them all over again as brought to life by Kate Winslet. My children also love them and roared laughing particularly at the deaf old Saucepan Man and we've been on several very long journeys without the usual squabbles and mithering. Highly recommend.Painless long car journeys with two young boys!
