Summary
A story aimed at children ages eight and up.
Set in the East, it features the cunning exploits of a hungry jackal. The jackal seeks to hoodwink the Emperor's favorite ritual elephant into taking him the long distance into fertile pastures, where he knows a meal will be waiting for him. But the jackal doesn't account for just how astute the elephant is.
