WHO BETTER TO SOLVE A MURDER THAN A DEAD DETECTIVE?

When Detective Inspector Joe Lazarus storms a Lincolnshire farmhouse, he expects to bring down a notorious drug gang; instead, he discovers his own dead body and a spirit guide called Daisy-May.

She's there to enlist him to the Dying Squad, a spectral police force made up of the recently deceased. Joe soon realises there are fates far worse than death. To escape being stuck in purgatory, he must solve his own murder.

Reluctantly partnering with Daisy-May, Joe faces dangers from both the living and the dead in the quest to find his killer - before they kill again.

Well, this book is not my normal sort of crime reading but I really, really enjoyed it. The author has a vivid imagination and the storyline is gripping. The characters grew on me and by the end of the book I really wanted Joe and Daisy May to become closer.

But I suppose that is another book-or at least I hope so. Don't leave it too long Adam!

A Compulsive Read

Interesting characters whose stories go off in unexpected directions. Brilliantly read. Just about to download the next in the series.

Great story and well read

I’m sure this would appeal to some people but I just couldn’t get into it. The character of Daisy May was so screechy it made it hard to listen to. I listened to about chapter 12 and gave up because I couldn’t see where it was heading. Hard work!!!

Just not for me!!!
