This is a normal, easy read, romance. I am not sure why I liked it so much when I listened to the sample. The narrator gives the Duke a sense of humour as well as bad tempered behaviour. I am not sure if the author meant him to come across this way or if its just the narrator's way of doing men's voices. Whichever it is....it worked for me. I really enjoyed the dialogue between the two main characters. Both have a good sense of humour and behave in a "sensible" way to adapt to the story. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.

The story is well structured and both main characters are witty, funny and charismatic, yet complex and real. Mary Jane Wells performance as narrator is superb and in my opinion this audiobook is one of if not the best of her work!!
